Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd was 14 when she started to take part in combat sports. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd felt more confident following her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. Ladd returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a professional. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen continued to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last bout with the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round at the end of the second. She maintained her dominance, and won another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd beat Evinger by a punch in the first round and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee, she fought Sijara-Eubanks for her first significant fight. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her winning streak. In the third round of UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
